If you are looking for a software application that will encrypt and password protect your webpages, then you will find what you’re looking for in HTML Guardian. Sure, there are other similar programs out there, but what sets HTML Guardian apart are the strong algorithms it employs to secure webpages – HTML, ASP and PHP. Once encrypted, the webpage will work anywhere, even without a server.

Installing HTML Guardian will take but a moment. Once the software is up and running, 5 mouse clicks are all it takes to password protect your web pages.

The only way someone can access the encrypted and password protected webpage is if that person knows the password. You are the only one who knows the password – there is little chance for someone to uncover what that password is. To ensure that something like this would never happen, HTML Guardian does not store the password in the encrypted page. The program is not limited only to protecting web pages with passwords, as it can also encrypt the source code of any web page, making it impossible to view and reuse. This way, you can make sure that no one will clone your website.

The interface of HTML Guardian features some nice graphical buttons that allow anyone to use the software's functionality, even beginners. One just needs to open the desired web page and click on the Encrypt button. Optionally, he can make some adjustments, for customizing the encryption process, but this should only be done by experienced users and webmasters.

The method of protecting web pages with passwords can be thoroughly configured. As such, the password can be directly stored into the protected HTML file or in a separate .js file. The program allows protecting all the web pages included in a folder at once, by importing it into the software.

Image files can also be protected with the help of HTML Guardian. By importing one or multiple images into the software, only users who know the right password will be able to view the images.

Pros

It allows protecting any web page with a password, preventing unauthorized users from accessing the web page without entering the right password. Besides that, it can encrypt the source code of any web page, making it impossible to view and reuse. Furthermore, there are a lot of complex settings and options that experienced users can take advantage of.

Cons

The complexity and the large number of options and settings are not suitable for beginners. HTML Guardian is the right software for protecting and encrypting any web page.
